Driver Project Services (DPS) is a multidisciplinary consultancy firm with over 45 years of experience operating across the UK. DPS provides a comprehensive range of planning, project management, and commercial management services for both construction and civil engineering projects. As a rapidly expanding organisation, DPS is actively seeking talented candidates interested in opportunities on either a permanent staff or contract basis to work with our Client in the Construction & Engineering sector on a large-scale, long-term Energy project.
Applicants should be degree qualified, commercially focused, confident running your own project along with working effectively within a team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Control, monitor, analyse and report costs.
- Ensure all cost and contract transactions on a project are understood and managed.
- Continually monitor Project Risk and Change status to maintain current forecast.
- Liaise with Project team members and contractors with regards to progress and cost forecasting.
- Monitor, control and analyse the project cost information, identify variances.
- Prepare specific reports to facilitate challenge and analysis to meet the projects specific needs.
- Challenge cost variances against the baseline plan with individual task leaders/contractors and/or outside stakeholder management as necessary to enable mitigation.
Essential Knowledge & Skills:
- Experience across the whole project and programme lifecycle (EPC) is essential.
- Proficient in the interpretation of Earned Value Analysis.
- Understanding the relationship between time cost and commercial aspects of the project life cycle.
This role is available on a Contract or Permanent Staff basis.
