We offer a full range of project controls and project management services including commercial, cost, risk & project management, planning & scheduling, and Quantity Surveying services to our clients projects across the UK. The role: Following our continued successes in securing local work we are seeking skilled Cost Engineers who are experienced in the Petrochemical, Oil and Gas, Pharmaceutical, Defence and complex manufacturing sectors to join our dynamic project controls team. You will play a crucial role providing pre and post cost management activities, supporting our clients upcoming Turnaround / Shutdown(s). You may also be involved with various projects and/or maintenance works on the plant. Key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): Location of work is Humberside south of river. Responsible for the development, maintenance and monitoring of cost reports and associated documents. Assist in the establishment and maintenance of the Turnaround / project(s) cost reporting system and procedures. Delivery of appropriately detailed robust cost reports for either a medium sized project or a medium sized sub-element of a major project. Identify potential areas of overspend, identify possible reasons for this and work with the management team to identify mitigation actions. Help promote and maintain the Companys change control procedures. Liaise with the Commercial team about contract specific reporting, tasks or issues. Keep contemporary records. Key candidate criteria: Previous cost experience, preferably in the oil and gas, petrochemical and/or heavy civils industry. Experience in working to tight deadlines. Capable of communicating with project groups and third parties to agree standards, systems, processes to meet the project and Client requirements. Capable of proposing improvements/developments of systems and processes. Capable of identifying and providing input to Cost related improvement initiatives. Capable of managing a coordinated approach to resolving procedural issues in a timely manner. Use of SAP would be advantageous. Sound IT skills, familiar with Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel etc. Additional information: Permanent employment preferred but will consider contract employment opportunities as well.
