Job Summary

We are seeking C+E Drivers to join our team at Driver Call Group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. Experience in commercial driving. The successful driver will be responsible for long-distance driving

The Role

  • Position: HGV Class 1 Driver
  • Type: Full-time, ongoing work
  • Hours are from 40 to 60 hours per week
  • Location: Various

Responsibilities

  • Operate lorries to transport goods to designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Load and unload cargo, securing it properly for transport.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of mileage, fuel use, and other relevant information.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the lorry.

Requirements

  • Valid HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) licence with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience in commercial driving with tipper experience is a must
  • Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Good communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours as required by delivery schedules.
  • Maximum of 6 penalty points (No DR10, CD10, IN10)
