The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) is responsible for keeping Britain moving safely and sustainably. As a Driving Examiner you will help ensure people get their driving futures off to a great start and contribute to road safety standards across the country.
What you will do
- Oversee seven driving examinations per day, engaging with customers from diverse backgrounds.
- Use a tablet to record results and determine whether candidates meet the required standards.
- Deliver clear, balanced feedback, both positive and corrective, with tact and diplomacy.
Training and progression
- Training is provided to get your career off to an incredible start.
- Test centres are grouped into clusters; you will select a cluster local to you.
- After a job offer, you will begin online training, followed by practical training at a local test centre and up to three weeks of guidance at a regional training facility.
