Training and Support
We will provide all the training you need to get your career off to an incredible start. Our test centres are grouped into clusters; we will ask you to select a cluster local to you. Once a job offer is made, you will start your training online, then undertake practical training at a local test centre. After that, you will receive up to three weeks of guidance at one of our regional training facilities before embarking on a fulfilling and varied career assessing the readiness of drivers seeking to secure their licences.
Responsibilities
On a day-to-day basis, you will meet people from all walks of life, overseeing up to seven driving examinations a day. You will use your exceptional people skills to put nervous customers at ease while you walk them through instructions. Using a tablet to record your results, you will determine whether or not they are meeting the expected standards and deliver both positive and negative outcomes with tact and diplomacy.
Qualifications
- Safe driver with at least three years holding a UK or EU driving licence
- No more than three penalty points on your licence
- Good knowledge of the Highway Code and correct road procedures
- Friendly, team‑spirited, and passionate about setting standards for drivers
- Deep appreciation for diversity and inclusiveness, with excellent verbal and non‑verbal communication skills
- Calm and unflappable under pressure
