The role is responsible for implementing recruitment plans, supporting resourcing initiatives and identifying opportunities to improve recruitment processes and candidate experience, helping to strengthen DVLA's Digital employer brand. A strong stakeholder focus is essential, working closely with hiring managers, HR colleagues, Communications teams, Finance and Commercial Services and third-party recruitment suppliers to coordinate recruitment activity, monitor progress, resolve issues and provide regular updates on recruitment outcomes and workforce plans.
Top Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring ITS (IT Services Department) has access to high quality workforce data and information to support recruitment and workforce planning.
- Identifying skill/competency requirements and critical role/skill across ITS providing data feed into recruitment and capability development plans.
- Work closely with HR Business Partners/Consultants/Recruitment Hub/3rd Party suppliers to support ITS in meeting its objectives, identifying non-alignment between the business needs and the HR service provision working with stakeholders to resolve these issues, evaluating, and continuously assessing their effectiveness.
- Manage the delivery of recruitment activity across capabilities.
- Provide support and guidance to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, explaining policy, process and best practice.
- Act as a first point of escalation for recruitment related enquiries.
- Work closely with HR colleagues and stakeholders to support the successful attraction, selection and onboarding of candidates.
