We are expanding our elite team of self-employed night delivery drivers for The Modern Milkman. This is a driver-focused opportunity with a 3PL partner offering efficient, Lucrative operations.
Role: Nocturnal Delivery Specialist for The Modern Milkman. You will be the face of the brand, delivering fresh milk, juice, and groceries accurately and with care during night hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect pre-allocated customer orders from the hub (York or Newcastle) and load the van (Fiat Doblo or similar).
- Use a route-delivery app to optimise routes within your catchment area.
- Deliver on time, adhere to customer instructions, and maximise satisfaction and performance.
- Collect empty bottles and contribute to a sustainable, closed-loop system.
- Safely operate a delivery van or vehicle to designated locations and communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and delays.
- Handle goods with care, load and unload as required, and maintain professional customer service.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and any issues encountered during transport.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven driving experience with a UK driving licence held for 2+ years and 6 points or less; full licence checks will be conducted. Applicants must be 23 years old or over.
- A reliable van (medium size or larger) and smartphone (iOS 12 / Android 10 or newer) with in-car holder and charger.
- Available to work up to 6 nights a week (Sunday-Friday, 21:30-22:00 start times) and comfortable with night work in all conditions.
- Excellent customer service, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Own a van and be prepared to operate company-provided van options, if offered; full UK driver’s licence is required.
What You’ll Earn & Benefits
- Take-home pay: £600.00–£900.00 per week, with potential for higher earnings based on efficiency and number of drops.
