Location: Vauxhall Darlington

Salary: £32,000 Basic Salary - OTE £48,000

Contract Type: Permanent

Work Hours and Schedule: 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, 30 Minute Lunch Break

Salary depends on experience level:

  • £32,000 + £6,000 (Uncapped) in Bonuses - Service Technician
  • £34,000 + £6,000 (Uncapped) in Bonuses - MOT Tester
  • £36,000 + £6,000 (Uncapped) in Bonuses - Diagnostic Technician
  • £38,000 + £6,000 (Uncapped) in Bonuses - Diagnostic Technician with MOT Licence
  • £42,000 + Bonuses (Uncapped) - Master Technician (With qualification proof of brand accreditation)

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to become an essential member of our service team.

Usual Duties for a Vehicle Technician:

  • Diagnose and repair vehicle faults, including complex systems where required.
  • Deliver work to the highest quality and fix issues first time to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete video vehicle health checks where applicable.
  • Assist colleagues with training and mentoring (where role relevant).
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Relevant qualifications (Dependent on role applied for: NVQ Level 3 in Light Motor Vehicle Repair / MOT Testing Licence / Master Technician brand specific qualifications).
  • A passion for customer service and teamwork.
  • A proactive approach to learning, especially around new technologies like EVs and hybrids (where applicable).
  • Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, or communication skills tailored to the nature of the role.
  • Previous experience in a similar position is required.
