Our Hull site is currently undergoing significant investment and development, with new management introduced alongside an already established and experienced service team. The Opportunity
We are looking to appoint a Service Supervisor to support the Service Manager in leading the aftersales function. This role is ideal for an experienced Senior Service Advisor / Workshop Controller looking to take their first step onto the management ladder. You will act as the key link between front-of-house and the workshop, ensuring smooth daily operations, strong communication, and consistent performance across the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a high level of customer service
- Support the Service Manager in the day-to-day running of the aftersales department
- Assist both front-of-house and workshop teams (Technicians) to ensure seamless operations
- Monitor and drive performance across both front and back of house
- Oversee workshop loading, productivity, and efficiency
- Step in and cover for the Service Manager when required
- Support and guide Service Advisors and workshop teams
- Handle escalated customer queries and complaints professionally
- Monitor and drive key KPIs including labour sales, efficiency, recovery rates, and CSI
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards across multiple franchises
- Support training, coaching, and performance management of the team
- Maintain high levels of customer communication and retention
- Contribute to departmental profitability and cost control
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience within an automotive aftersales environment
- Either a current Senior Service Advisor / Workshop Controller ready to progress
- Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of workshop KPIs
- Ability to influence and drive performance across teams
- Experience within a franchised dealership environment (preferred)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment
- Professional, structured, and process-driven approach
