About the Role
As an experienced MET Technician in our small Bodyshop team, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality mechanical, electrical, and trim repairs on accident-damaged vehicles. This includes the stripping and refitting of vehicle components to manufacturer standards and ensuring vehicles are returned to customers in a safe, roadworthy condition. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong technical background who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a fast-paced, professional team.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately strip and refit mechanical and electrical components on damaged vehicles
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to manufacturer standards
- Work closely with estimators, panel beaters, and painters to ensure smooth repair processes
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify electrical faults and ensure full functionality
- Ensure all repairs are completed within agreed timescales and meet quality control standards
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Update job cards and repair logs accurately using Bodyshop management systems
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as an MET Technician or in a similar role within a Bodyshop environment
- ATA accreditation or NVQ Level 3 in Automotive Mechanical/Electrical Repair (desirable but not essential)
- Strong knowledge of modern vehicle electrical systems and mechanical components
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality repairs
- Excellent communication and team-working skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced Bodyshop setting
- Full UK driving licence – Held for a minimum of 2 years
