We are seeking a number of reliable and motivated HGV1 Drivers to work for our client in Gateshead Team Valley. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in delivery driving and commercial driving. These roles are trunk deliveries across the UK, no nights out Monday to Friday days and afternoon shifts available.
Duties include delivering pallets of packaging materials. A 4 hour induction and driving assessment will need to be completed before your start date. Drivers must have held their HGV1 Licence for at least 1 year and have 6 months proven experience on HGV1. Immediate starts available, part time, temporary hours to suit. This vacancy is temporary but could be ongoing for the right candidates.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a vehicle to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs and any necessary paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a delivery driver with at least 6 months experience on HGV1.
- Valid driver's licence cat C.
