We are recruiting for a number of landscape operatives to work for our client on the Team Valley Gateshead. The ideal candidate must have a valid driving licence with no more than 6 points for speeding only as you may be expected to drive the works vehicles to and from jobs. It would be an advantage but not necessary if you had PA1 and PA6 weedkilling certifications. This vacancy is to start immediately and is ongoing temporary work. Hours of work are approximately 7:15am until 4:00pm.
Responsibilities
- Perform general grounds keeping and landscape maintenance duties
- Use hand tools and power tools to trim, prune, and shape trees, shrubs, and plants
- Maintain lawns by mowing, edging, and fertilizing
- Clean and maintain gardening equipment
Skills
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely
- Physical stamina to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail for precise trimming and pruning
- Experience of ride on mowers an advantage but not essential.
