Drive Pro Academy is recruiting three trainee driving instructors based in or around Thurso and Wick. We offer a structured, supported route into driving instruction for people looking for a long-term career change. This is not a franchise opportunity and does not require large up-front training fees. Thurso and Wick have busy test centres with high learner demand, and we are expanding capacity by training new instructors properly and supporting them once qualified.

Training route

  • Structured online learning
  • A two-week intensive in-person training period in Orkney
  • Ongoing mentoring and support from experienced trainer instructors, including local support in Thurso and Wick
  • Training is fully supported, with time to build confidence before teaching independently

About the role

Once qualified, you will work as a self-employed driving instructor, supported with:

  • Ongoing mentoring
  • Admin and booking support
  • A gradual, supported start to teaching

Drive Pro Academy covers the cost of training up front. In return, instructors commit to working with us for a minimum period once qualified. Full details are explained clearly before any commitment is made.
