We are looking for an experienced Welding Team Leader to oversee our welding department and ensure we deliver high-quality products efficiently, safely, and on time. This is a key leadership role supporting either the 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm shift as required.
About the Role
As the Welding Team Leader, you will work closely with the Shift Production Manager to ensure production plans are met and quality standards are consistently achieved. You will lead the day-to-day running of the department, ensuring workstations are fully prepared, processes are followed, and the team is supported to perform at their best. You will act as the first point of contact for operational issues and people-related matters, conducting regular performance reviews including annual appraisals, mid-year reviews, and quarterly 1:1s. A key part of the role is ensuring that all welded products meet the highest quality levels while maintaining strong efficiency and housekeeping standards.

- Oversee daily welding operations and ensure production targets are achieved.
- Maintain high safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
- Train new recruits and multi-skill the team to increase flexibility.
- Support HR processes and ensure procedures are followed.
- Build strong working relationships across other departments to support a one team approach.
