In this pivotal role, you'll oversee the full product lifecycle - from concept to launch, through to life extension and end-of-life planning. You'll develop and execute tactical and strategic category plans, optimise pricing strategies, and ensure stock levels align with commercial goals. Your insights will shape market entry strategies, product positioning, and competitor analysis, helping us maintain a competitive edge in the UK health sector.
You’ll work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, purchasing, commercial, regulatory, design and logistics teams to deliver structured product strategies and support business growth. Your ability to manage multiple projects, analyse market trends, and identify new opportunities will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities- Own the Pressure Area Care category end-to-end - act as the CEO of the category with full accountability for portfolio performance, lifecycle management, and long-term growth.
- Define and execute category strategy and roadmap across 1-year and 3+-year horizons, aligned to UK business objectives and global product direction.
- Provide strategic direction across UK public and private sector channels, including NHS Acute, Community, Long-Term Care, Retail, and Private Pay.
- Translate clinical insight into competitive advantage, identifying unmet needs, innovation opportunities, and differentiation versus competitors.
- Lead new product development and launches, from concept, clinical validation, and business case through to launch, adoption, and post-market optimisation.
- Develop compelling value propositions and pricing strategies, ensuring strong health-economic, clinical, and commercial justification for each segment.
- Own go-to-market strategy, including positioning, messaging, training, tender support, and launch excellence across all channels.
- Act as the internal and external product authority, supporting sales teams, key accounts, clinicians, procurement stakeholders, and partners.
- Monitor and respond to market dynamics, including competitor activity, emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and reimbursement considerations.
- Influence global product and engineering teams, shaping development priorities based on UK market, clinical, and commercial requirements.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Clinical, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and Operations to deliver profitable and compliant growth.
- Track category performance and success metrics, using insight to continuously optimise portfolio mix, pricing, and channel strategy.
- Deep expertise in Pressure Area Care or closely related therapy areas, gained through clinical practice, commercial leadership, R&D, product development, or therapy-specialist roles.
- Proven understanding of the full product lifecycle, whether through hands-on product management, clinical evaluation, portfolio ownership, innovation, or commercial leadership.
- Strong clinical insight, with the ability to interpret patient outcomes, risk factors, and care pathways and translate these into product and portfolio decisions.
- Demonstrated experience shaping or influencing product direction, innovation priorities, or therapy strategies within a healthcare or medical device environment.
- Commercially grounded mindset, with experience supporting sales, tenders, value propositions, pricing discussions, or customer-facing product strategy.
- In-depth knowledge of UK healthcare markets, including NHS Acute, Community, Long-Term Care, and/or Private Pay environments.
- Ability to bridge clinical, commercial, and technical teams, aligning diverse stakeholders around clear category strategy and outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills, able to influence without authority across local and global organisations.
- Comfort operating as a category owner, balancing clinical integrity, regulatory requirements, and commercial performance.
- Analytical and insight-led approach, using market, customer, and clinical data to inform strategy and prioritisation.
- Clear communicator and educator, credible with clinicians, procurement teams, sales leaders, and senior executives.
- Make a meaningful impact on patient care and clinical outcomes.
- Be part of a high-growth, globally recognised healthcare brand.
- Influence product strategy across diverse markets and channels.
- Work in a dynamic, international environment with a focus on innovation.
- Opportunity to shape category plans for 1 & 3+ year horizons.
- Collaborate with passionate professionals committed to enhancing lives.
