Responsibilities

  • Manage day to day operations of the DC; eg resource planning, holiday cover, compliance etc.
  • Implement and maintain a robust End of Day and Shift Handover reporting structure.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as and when issues arise and aid a resolution.
  • Develop and implement robust reporting structures to cover key performance indicators for the DC and monitor and improve performance.
  • Review at every opportunity the training levels within the DC to enhance the skills and productivity of the workforce.
  • Ensure PO and STO activity maintained within appropriate business guidelines.
  • To be available to support the wider team- being able to take part in EMEA meetings and calls as and when required.
  • Ensure compliance to all company policies and procedures.
  • Support the team in development and implementation of Continuous Improvement methodology, including use of (but not limited to) Lean Six Sigma tools, 5S and Basic problem solving skills.

Requirements

  • Previous experience (preferable min. 5 years) in a DC or warehouse environment.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Good understanding of inbound and outbound logistics including an understanding of post Brexit compliance.
  • ERP system experience (SAP – preferable).
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • IT literate including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Approachable and empathetic.
