About the Opportunity

At Driscoll’s, we are passionate about delivering the finest berries to our customers worldwide. For our site in Maidstone, we are looking for a structured and proactive Allocation Assistant who will play a key role in coordinating and optimizing our production and stock allocation processes.

As an Allocation Assistant, you ensure that our fruit is allocated to production orders in the right quantities, at the right time, and according to the correct specifications. You act as a key link between Supply Chain, Production, and Sales, contributing to a smooth and efficient operation within the packhouse.

Responsibilities

  • Allocate fruit to production orders in a timely and accurate manner
  • Create, manage, and process production jobs and orders in the system
  • Monitor stock levels, incoming goods, and anticipate shortages
  • Review product quality and packaging prior to allocation
  • Liaise closely with Supply Chain, Sales, Technical, and Production teams
  • Identify and resolve stock discrepancies
  • Manage returned stock and related administrative processes
  • Maintain and update systems, documentation, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Participate in daily and weekly planning meetings

Candidate Profile

Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within food or fresh produce

Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to meet deadlines

High attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to make decisions and perform under pressure

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Experience with ERP systems (Prophet is a plus) and Microsoft Office

Willingness to work in a packhouse environment, including unsociable hours
