Driscoll Kingston & Co. are currently looking for a Housing Repair Breach Handler to join our vibrant and fast-paced Housing Repair Breach team.
A housing repair breach claim occurs when a landlord fails to fulfill a previously agreed-upon or legally mandated repair obligation, even after a housing disrepair claim has been initiated. This can happen if repairs were agreed upon in a settlement agreement or court order but were not completed within the stipulated time frame or to the agreed standard.
Main Responsibilities:
- Review cases to ascertain whether further legal breach action is appropriate.
- Drafting Proceedings and Applications
- Drafting Witness statements
- Good Knowledge of CPR
- Dealing with Social Housing Tenants
- Drafting Application and Part 8 proceedings
- Send routine correspondence to Clients, landlords and Solicitors.
- Liaising with experts, counsel.
- Preparation of Court hearing bundles
