A hugely exciting role for an experienced Marketing Manager has come to market in preparation for the eagerly awaited release of Lochlea\’s Core Range later this year. Lochlea is an independent Scotch malt producer in the heart of Ayrshire who grows and harvests their own barley, distils it, casks it, and matures it onsite, producing something traceable, unique and delicious. They are looking for a visionary Marketing Manager to tell the story of their grain-to-glass journey. This is your chance to champion a brand with true authenticity at its heart! Reporting to the Commercial Director, working closely with business development in effectively promoting and growing the Lochlea brand globally. Responsible for external communication, including new product releases, marketing campaigns and ongoing digital and PR strategy. Main Responsibilities Marketing Strategy – Develop long-term marketing / brand strategy to support sales, demonstrate ROI and meet ambitious growth targets for Lochlea in UK and Export markets Brand Planning – Guided by long-term strategy and brand guidelines, create and put into practice with all stakeholders effective annual brand plans for Lochlea portfolio Social Media – Day-to-day proactive management of all digital channels ensuring any posts are relevant, engaging and demonstrate correct tone of voice Website – Monitor stats, regularly update and aim to improve web traffic and conversion Web Subscribers – Develop and issue monthly newsletter to growing subscriber base Brand Assets – Further enhance Lochlea asset register and ensure team are using correct and latest on-brand customer facing presentations, photography etc to maintain consistency Collateral – Assist in sourcing best price and quality point of sale materials to support sales team in market and for tastings, events etc PR – In line with key activity throughout the year, create and issue press releases to industry and media contacts to generate positive publicity for Lochlea NPD – Significant input into any future new releases, label detail and pack designs Cask Owners – Support Commercial Team with management of valued private cask clients Awards – Responsible for all award entries for both distillery and whiskies Events – Attend trade shows and consumer events as a Sales & Marketing Team to push the brand and encourage rate of sale with key retail customers / importers About You: Degree in Marketing, Business, Branding, Communications, PR or equivalent Track record in developing and implementing long-term Marketing strategy, getting everyone on board, analyzing its effectiveness while identifying new opportunities Passion for Spirits industry (ideally Scotch Whisky category) Demonstrable ability to manage digital strategy effectively Commercially-minded, ambitious, hard-working and focused individual Highly organised and able to prioritise tasks to achieve multiple deadlines Strong communication and presentation skills, comfortable interacting with consumers Strong IT literacy on Microsoft Office packages and ideally graphic design tools What\’s in it for you?
