Role Description

We are seeking a Head of Finance for a full-time on site position. The Head of Finance will oversee a team of 4 and will manage the daily financial operations for the business including management accounts, ensuring accurate financial recording. They will implement and update financial processes, systems and policies during a period of growth to ensure effective and efficient financial management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the preparation and postings of month-end journals (eg accruals and prepayments)
  • Maintain accurate accounting including control accounts, bank reconciliations and nominal ledger
  • Accurate and timely completion of monthly financial reports including balance sheet, P&L, variance and margin analysis at month end
  • VAT calculations and submissions
  • Oversee credit control activities
  • Adhoc revenue, expenditure and analysis
  • Lead and prepare the annual external audit, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Monitor budget performance and KPI's
  • Investigate variances and provide explanations and recommendations for adjustments
  • Manage and support the development of 4 direct reports, ensuring KPI's are met and oversee all activity within the department

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified to CIMA or ACCA
  • Expertise in Budgeting and overall Finance management
  • Advanced Analytical Skills for data interpretation and decision-making
  • Experience using financial software tools and systems
  • Proven leadership experience in financial strategy and team management
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to stakeholders
  • Familiarity with the drinks or wholesale industry is an advantage
