We are looking for an experienced Gas Engineer/Plumber/Maintenance Operative on Drimsynie Estate Holiday Park, who can provide specialist gas interventions and preventative advice and support. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be reliable, trustworthy, friendly and self-motivated.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Role model for the company at all times.
- Check on list of jobs assigned at agreed times then carry them out.
- Connect sited caravans, both water, drains and propane gas (supplied via bottle or underground propane system).
- Take on any urgent, short-notice jobs without major impact on job schedule.
- Examine any reported faults then repair them to a high standard, sourcing any parts required and recording action taken.
- Carry out fault-finding in a mixture of settings.
- Transporting tools, parts and stock around the park using a utility vehicle.
- Be a friendly face of the company when talking to owners and holidaymakers.
What we’re looking for:
- Fully qualified Gas Safe engineer.
- Undertake heating engineering & plumbing duties including reactive repairs.
- Be able to complete other maintenance tasks on a daily basis i.e. small plumbing and electric issues, caravan and lodges repairs and general handyman tasks.
- Experience in gas domestic and commercial environments would be an advantage but not essential.
- Adhere to manufacturers’ regulations and guidelines when repairing or servicing equipment.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Good organisational & planning skills.
- Methodical approach with good attention to detail.
- Provide information to allow records to be updated.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Team player.
- Able to work flexible hours, including weekends.
- Driver with clean licence.
Experience & Skills:
- At least 3 years experience being a fully qualified Gas Safe engineer.
- Previous experience in repair and maintenance.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Skilled handyperson.
- Ability to work under pressure and unsupervised.
- Self-motivated and organised.
