We are currently recruiting a Deck Foreman to join our client’s 7th generation drillship. This is a permanent rotational position. The Deck Foreman will form part of the offshore marine support team, responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant deck operations onboard the drillship. Due to the confidential nature of this position, further details will be provided to candidates who progress through the initial screening process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring all deck operations on-board the vessel are carried out safely, efficiently and in compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Supervision and coordination of Crane Operators, Assistant Crane Operators and Deck team on-board.
- Conduct pre- and post-operational inspections of deck equipment, ensuring readiness, integrity and correct certification status.
- Ensure accurate completion of deck logs, maintenance records and permits within the company’s maintenance and reporting systems.
- Monitor deck activities and equipment condition, identify hazards or potential failures and take corrective/preventive actions as required.
- Actively participate in drills, safety meetings, toolbox talks, and audits to maintain a high level of operational and safety preparedness.
Requirements:
- In order to be considered, candidates must be UK, European or South African nationals due to restrictions on work permits in the area of operation.
- A minimum of 2 years operational experience at Deck Foreman level on-board MODUs, preferably drillships.
- Offshore Crane Operator - Stage 3.
- OPITO Offshore Emergency Response Team Leader (OERTL).
- OPITO Helideck Emergency Response Team Leader (HERTL).
