Drilling Rig Hire UK are based in Norfolk but operate throughout the UK providing specialist plant and equipment to the ground investigation, water well and geothermal drilling industry.
This is a full-time on-site role for a Plant Fitter located in North Norfolk. The Plant Fitter will be responsible for maintaining and repairing geotechnical drilling rig equipment, carrying out routine inspections, diagnosing faults, and ensuring machinery is operating efficiently and safely. The role involves performing scheduled servicing and unscheduled repairs, sourcing and replacing faulty parts, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical skills, technical expertise, and experience working with heavy machinery
- Problem-solving abilities and skills in fault diagnosis and maintenance
- Experience with the repair and replacement of equipment components
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and blueprints
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations within the industry
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in mechanical engineering or related fields
The role is 40 hours a week with a salary of £37500 to £43000 depending on skills and experience. Van and all tooling provided.
