Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and meticulous CNC Machinist and Small Hole Drilling Technician to join our precision manufacturing team. Drill Service is expanding its small-hole drilling department with the addition of CNC capability. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with both manual and CNC machinery to produce extremely precise holes - some as small as 0.02mm in diameter - for a range of specialist tooling applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and set both manual and CNC machines for small hole drilling operations.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to assist with accurate quoting and machining.
- Design and manufacture fixtures and tooling required for precision work.
- Collaborate within a small, experienced team to deliver high-quality results.
- Perform other CNC-related tasks and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience operating and programming CNC machines (experience with precision components preferred).
- Competence using manual milling machines and lathes to create fixtures and tooling.
- Experience or understanding of small hole drilling operations, ideally in a toolmaking or precision engineering environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical, patient approach - precision is essential in this role.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
