Applicant needs to have knowledge of heavy plant repairs, as well as knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and welding and burning would be advantageous.
NVQ level 2 in Engineering Maintenance and/or equivalent.
Responsibilities include:
- Carrying out breakdown maintenance on company plant and equipment.
- Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance on company plant as per manufacturers' instructions.
- Assisting in carrying out repairs onsite as required by the company.
- Keeping all maintenance records up to date and tidy as per the company's maintenance procedure.
- Looking after all workshop tools and equipment, ensuring they are all in serviceable condition and secured at the end of the day.
- Keeping the workshop area clean and tidy.
- Identifying and sourcing items required for maintenance and repair of the company's plant and equipment.
- Having basic knowledge of electrics on 12 & 24v DC systems including fault finding.
- Basic knowledge of 3 phase electrical systems.
- Basic knowledge of fabrication plus different welding techniques.
- Working safely at all times.
- Maintaining plant records.
- Training junior fitters.
Salary depending on experience. Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00 - 17:30, Friday 8:00 - 16:00.
