Overall Purpose: To be responsible, as part of a team within I.T. Services, for the efficient and cost-effective delivery of I.T. Customer Services.
- Provide/assist in the provision of I.T. Customer Services as directed by I.T. Management, to high professional standards and in accordance with corporate policies.
- Working to strict deadlines, ensure that the services are provided in accordance with Service Level Agreements, efficiently, on time, and within the specified cost.
- Providing direct ICT support for schools and businesses across the East Riding and surrounding areas. Providing both on-site and remote 1st and 2nd line technical support through established SLA agreements, including direct curriculum support within schools to ensure teaching and learning is effectively supported by ICT. The role supports service desk operations, application support, and the implementation of new digital technologies to maintain high-quality IT service delivery.
- Upgrade planning, proactive health checking and patch management of IT systems and server infrastructure.
- System Security auditing and support, ensuring systems are compliant with data protection guidelines
- Adhere, and promote adherence amongst customers, to the Council's I.T. Strategy.
- Keep fully abreast of developments in the IT industry, discern their potential impact upon the Council and identify opportunities for the application of IT.
