About The Role
The primary focus of the Project Management role will be within the Safety business areas and is a field-based Role. Therefore, flexibility to travel to meet the requirements of the role is required. This function can also be responsible for the delivery of or supporting projects not covered under the primary focus.
The post holder will manage multiple projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, and a solid understanding of project management methodologies.
Project responsibility is defined from the pre-sales phase to completion of implementation & handover of project as follows:
- Project Owner until completion of all deliverables are met.
- Assist with technical and commercial aspects with the sales account management team
- Ensures the projects technical and financial planning outline is completed as required.
- Accountable for the technical, commercial and timely implementation of a project
- Responsible for project documentation & archiving
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project planning, execution, and monitoring, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budget estimates.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure effective collaboration and timely delivery of project milestones.
- Identify and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies as necessary.
- Become a focal point in relation to the project. Facilitate communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and performance.
- Oversee resource allocation, ensuring efficient use of personnel and materials throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct project meetings, including kick-offs, status updates, and post-mortems, to foster team engagement and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure adherence to project management best practices and methodologies, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.
- Attend site, as appropriate for key project events, to monitor project progress, to monitor project quality, to mitigate Draeger’s risks and to support the resolution of urgent issues.
- Ensures there is a clear focus on the Health & Safety and welfare of project team members (internal and external) in relation to the delivery of the project. Documents regular audits on site to ensure all H&S risks are mitigated and the quality of the delivered project is of the highest standard.
- Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members, providing support and sharing knowledge.

Reporting Relationships
Manager – Project Management Team Leader
Size of team/environment – Working in a team of 14 Project Managers supported by a dedicated Project Support Team, you will be supported by various functions including Engineering, Service, Product Specialist, Document Control and Marketing.

Education/Qualifications
- University degree in a related field preferred
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification preferred
Related Experience
- Previous project management experience, with a strong background in managing complex, multi-faceted projects.
- Experience in the safety industry preferred.
Skills, Special Competencies
- IT knowledge: MS Office
- Customer orientation
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project).
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on strategic thinking.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
