We are recruiting for an exciting new position within our commercial team. The Head of E-Commerce will define and lead the digital growth strategy across all online sales channels, including Amazon, TikTok Shop, and other key marketplaces. This role has full ownership of performance, trading execution, and P&L across platforms, with a clear focus on driving sustainable revenue growth, profitability, and strong brand performance. The successful candidate will bring a blend of strategic leadership and hands-on commercial delivery, alongside a strong understanding of FMCG marketplace dynamics and how to scale brands in a competitive digital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- E-Commerce Strategy & Growth
- Define and deliver the end-to-end e-commerce growth strategy across all platforms and brands.
- Set channel objectives covering revenue, margin, customer acquisition, and market expansion.
- Identify new platform opportunities, market entries, and digital growth initiatives.
- Commercial Ownership & P&L
- Own full channel P&L performance, including sales, margin, trading terms, and cost efficiency.
- Lead forecasting, budgeting, and commercial planning across e-commerce channels.
- Monitor pricing, profitability, and promotional efficiency to maximise ROI.
- Marketplace Leadership (Amazon, TikTok & Others)
- Oversee trading performance, assortment strategy, and marketplace operations.
- Guide optimisation of content, keywords, PPC, storefronts, rankings, and conversion.
- Champion best-in-class execution across product launches, campaigns, and promotions.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and develop the e-commerce and marketplace team, setting clear priorities and performance standards.
- Work closely with buying, supply chain, marketing, and finance to align stock, pricing, and growth plans.
- Foster a data-driven, accountable, and performance-focused culture.
- Performance, Data & Insight
- Build dashboards and reporting to track sales, profitability, traffic, and advertising performance.
- Translate insights into actionable trading and growth initiatives.
- Lead testing, experimentation, and continuous optimisation across channels.
- Customer & Brand Experience
- Ensure strong brand representation and customer experience across all platforms.
- Monitor reviews, service levels, and feedback to protect brand reputation.
- Support product development and innovation with marketplace insights.
- Governance & Operational Excellence
- Strengthen processes, trading rhythms, and commercial governance as the function scales.
- Support implementation of tools, systems, and automation to improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with platform policies and commercial standards.
Experience
- Proven experience leading e-commerce or marketplace growth within an FMCG or consumer brand environment, with ownership of end-to-end strategy, trading performance, and P&L.
- Strong track record of scaling online sales across major platforms such as Amazon, as well as emerging channels including TikTok Shop and other marketplaces.
- Demonstrated commercial expertise across forecasting, budgeting, pricing, promotions, and margin management, with a clear focus on ROI and profitability.
- Hands-on experience overseeing marketplace execution, including assortment strategy, content optimisation, PPC, conversion, and campaign delivery.
- Highly data-driven, with experience building and using performance dashboards to translate insight into actionable growth initiatives.
- Proven people leadership experience, with the ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing e-commerce or marketplace teams.
- Strong cross-functional collaborator.
- Experience operating in fast-paced, scaling environments, with the ability to build robust processes, governance, and operational excellence while protecting brand and customer experience.
This role is hybrid - working 3 days per week in the office and 2 from home. Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.
