Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITY

A well-respected systems integrator is recruiting for a permanent employee to handle the design and implementation of PLC control systems and related software & hardware engineering activities for a variety of industrial control system applications.

KEY ACTIVITIES

• Development of PLC system design from customer requirements.
• Design input to system development.
• PLC programming of control systems from given designs (a customer URS).
• Involvement throughout the whole software/systems lifecycle, from design through coding to testing, installation and configuration, and documentation (FDS/FAT/SAT).
• Working to customer deadlines within a project team.
• Installation, configuration and testing work at customer sites.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in mainstream PLC Systems e.g. Siemens, Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Schneider and Mitsubishi or similar.
• Knowledge of PLC system design.
• Good client-facing skills and ability to work as part of a combined client/contractor team.
• Willingness to travel and work away if/when projects require.
• HNC/HND or higher qualification.
• Minimum 5 years experience is expected to fulfill the requirements of this position.
