We are recruiting for an Automation Engineer. Please read on if you're considering your next challenge.

Role

This is a programming and commissioning role, the main focus will be on developing and implementing software on systems and all aspects of install/commissioning both at the company and at customer sites. This role will likely include approximately 40% of time on customer sites.

Objectives

  • To be responsible for programming and commissioning of company systems
  • To assist with customer support visits and calls
  • To meet agreed deadlines for commissioning of equipment and systems

Responsibilities

  • Carry out full system software, programming and commissioning which can include software, mechanical and electrical competence
  • Carry out site installation, software integrations and commissioning
  • Deliver customer training
  • Offer technical support both remotely and on site for engineers and clients

Experience

  • PLC programming - ideally in structured text (Beckhoff)
  • Robot Programming
  • Programming PLCs for automated machinery
  • Creating electrical designs for machinery
  • Commissioning machinery
  • Electrical training and qualification
  • KUKA robot programming training and experience
