Reporting to the DreamWorks Multi-Media Creative Director, the Creative Designer is responsible for producing and overseeing high-quality and engaging creative to be used across multiple marketing campaigns and platforms, immersive experiences, print and graphic design projects for DreamWorks & Networks channels across EMEA, APAC & LATAM.
Key Responsibilities
- To work in partnership with stakeholders EMEA, APAC, LATAM, as well as LA & London.
- To develop creative solutions for the range of marketing, event, digital, social and sales initiatives as directed by DW Marketing Director and key stakeholders.
- To support the development of immersive and experiential design elements where relevant for the DreamWorks Channel and other brands, contributing scenic graphics and creative concepts to enhance brand storytelling.
- Be a global brand guardian and ensure brand compliance and consistency at all times as the point of contact for DreamWorks Channel creative.
- Ensure all DreamWorks Marketing collateral adheres to the DreamWorks channel brand guidelines.
- Maintain & develop DreamWorks Channel brand guidelines and best practices – presenting these to key stakeholders and affiliates.
- Present DreamWorks creative campaigns to stakeholders within the business and to affiliates.
- Demonstrate leadership skills and design expertise as a Creative Designer.
- An understanding of both digital and print/fabrication methods across a range of deliverables, from large-scale print to branded merchandise.
- To oversee creative used in multiple DreamWorks affiliates deliverables across multiple territories.
- To use creative to drive performance in territory and meet local business objectives.
- To keep abreast of design and technology trends to maintain innovation and freshness.
- To be an enthusiastic and engaging creative lead, informing the team on best practice and latest design ideas.
- To achieve all requested outcomes on time and on budget.
- To work collaboratively or independently either as part of a wider project or within a self-contained brief.
- To develop Key Art for On Air stunts, ensuring artwork is adaptable to a range of marketing formats.
Qualifications
- Solid graphic design foundation, confident and informed use of colour, natural sense of balanced composition, informed use of typography and an eye for aesthetic.
- Strong conceptual thinking.
- Previous experience and proven track record of working in a fast-paced design environment.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of branding and how to adhere to guidelines and intelligently evolve them when required.
- Fluency in graphics and animation programmes including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and experience using Adobe After Effects.
- High-quality presentation skills to be able to communicate creative decisions and reasoning.
- Excellent Apple Mac skills and an understanding of troubleshooting.
- Ability to work and function within a busy and sometimes stressful environment whilst remaining composed and clear-headed.
- Ability to organise workload, keeping track of multiple projects with different stakeholders and timezones at play.
- Strong ability to work autonomously, or as part of team.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Proven ability to work in a design team within a collaborative, dynamic and positive environment.
- Strong working relationships with people in a wide variety of functional areas, such as programming, marketing and creative.
- A BA degree in Graphic Design.
