An exciting opportunity to join the Theatrical Dubbing Team within Universal Pictures International. This role is a fixed‑term position to cover maternity leave. The team sits within the Theatrical Operations Department and covers dubbing worldwide for Universal Pictures International, Focus Features, DreamWorks, and Illumination Entertainment.
The Junior Dubbing Manager will work with our vendors, downstream teams, and international theatrical teams to schedule and process our theatrical releases.
Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with vendors to manage and communicate project timelines, ensuring all steps (job booking, quotes, and deadlines) run smoothly and delivery to downstream teams meets timelines and stays within budget.
- Schedule and coordinate delivery of theatrical dubbing elements with our international theatrical teams.
- Review theatrical titles for potential dub clearance issues.
- Liaise with our internal team to track clearance issues.
- Coordinate with our international offices, requesting, recording, and monitoring costs from estimate to final on our in-house system.
- Monitor and manage theatrical dub costs across all titles, internally and externally.
- Act as the main point of contact for any downstream dub audio rejections on theatrical titles.
- Act as the main point of contact for new vendor onboarding for our in-house PO system.
- Provide cover during planned absences, including distributing, tracking and recording the return of all deliverable list components; troubleshooting and following up with territories on late deliveries and general queries.
- Track new release dates and update relevant schedules on in-house system.
- Raise and process purchase orders.
- Provide general support to the VP of Dubbing.
- Provide ad hoc support for Senior Dubbing Manager and Director of Dubbing.
- Proven experience working in Theatrical Operations or media with good understanding of localisation processes (Dubbing).
- Understanding of relevant technical terminology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility and being able to adapt to changing processes and business demands.
- Highly organised with a strong degree of initiative.
- Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external contacts at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Sound knowledge of PC‑based systems, including Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Copilot).
- Good knowledge of Smartsheet or similar systems.
- 2nd language.
