We`re looking for a Data Privacy Assistant to join our Technology team for a 6-month fixed term, based in Loudwater, Buckinghamshire.

In this role, you will assist the Data Privacy Lead with the management and execution of Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and e Discovery activities, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and internal policies.

  • Conduct data protection impact assessments
  • Liaise with the Information Commissioner's Office and other external stakeholders.
  • Maintain our Record of Processing Activities, and other associated documentation.
  • Manage escalated or complex enquiries, customer privacy queries and complaints arising from team casework.
  • Assist in identifying compliance gaps and problems, undertake analysis, challenge poor practices diplomatically and make effective recommendations.
  • Assist with work in relation to Subject Access Requests to ensure that the organisation complies with statutory deadlines whilst providing a good service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Track actions and responses in respect of personal data security breach incidents, to ensure that these are suitably prioritised and that investigations are carried out in accordance with procedure and recommended remedial action is implemented.
  • Assist with the One Trust Vendor DPIA, Risk management and Privacy system, ensuring all Dreams Suppliers are compliant with current policy.
  • Liaise with Dreams suppliers and internal teams to complete GDPR paperwork.

  • Knowledge and comprehension of data protection laws (UK GDPR, EU GDPR, DPA (Data Protection Act) and practices.
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview and e Discovery tools is essential
  • Proven administrative experience gained in a fast-paced environment, ideally within Retail, Leisure, or Hospitality
  • Experience of managing large volumes of paperwork
  • Ability to deliver results within defined timelines.
  • Confidence to build relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office suite, with the ability to produce written reports and manipulate data.
