The Role
Ready to skip the snooze button and get stuck in? Here’s a snapshot of what you’ll be doing day to day:
- You will form part of the Maintenance team, working primarily on supporting our Bed Production Operatives, by maintaining, repairing and servicing our static plant machinery - conveyors, hydraulic presses, industrial sewing machines etc.
- As part of a small maintenance team, you will also be involved with various other jobs around the site; no day will ever be the same, you certainly won’t be bored and will be able to use all your skills and experiences to ever improve our factory environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial sewing machines.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
- Install new machines and calibrate them to meet production requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all routine maintenance and repair activities.
- Manage inventory of spare parts.
Your standard working week will be 40 hrs Monday - Friday. However, we will require some flexibility with shift patterns during holidays and busier production periods.

The Person
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Electrical qualification desired (e.g. 18th Edition / NVQ L3) but not essential.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills including PLC.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Quick learner when it comes to understanding new systems, new electronics.
- Welding, soldering and fabrication experience would be advantageous but not essential.
