Triage/Streamer Nurse – Derby
Dream Medical are currently working with an urgent care centre in Derby that require a permanent full-time triage/streaming nurse. The hours of work are 40 contracted each week, worked on a rota system and will be a combination of early/late/weekend days; however, days are flexible.
The post holder is to work as a member of the MDT to provide care to a range of patients within the post holder's scope of practice. They will work under the supervision of a designated shift lead - an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, experienced Nurse Practitioner or GP.
The role encompasses the skills of assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment within an agreed scope of practice. The Streaming Nurse will be responsible for ensuring that patients who attend the walk-in centre/urgent care centre seek care from the most relevant health care professional based on their presentation needs. This may include signposting patients to care givers outside of the service such as pharmacists, community support or the patients registered general practitioner.
Salary is dependent on experience; however, it ranges from £22,000 - £28,000 p/a.
