The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 £ per hour.
The service due to go live soon is currently looking for a Skin Cancer Screening Nurse to work and run clinics from a private GP Practice in Soho covering a minimum of 16 hours a week to start, and as the service grows, the requirement may turn full time Monday - Friday.
Requirements:
- Graduated from an accredited nursing education program
- A current Registered Nurse license
- Two years experience as a Registered Nurse
- Previous experience in skin cancer screening
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform a physical assessment on each patient, paying special attention to the skin.
- Assist the physician in the performance of skin exams, monitor and record a patient's medical history, and be aware of relevant test results.
- Educate each patient on how to protect their skin and care for skin diseases and conditions at home.
- Ensure provision of high standards of care for patients.
- Ensure compliance with relevant NICE Guidelines, BDNG Competencies and NMC Code.
- Enhance quality of care by assisting with the management of change in nursing practice based on evidence/research.
- Plan and organise own workload in order to meet patients' needs.
- Ensure compliance with Clinic Policies & Procedures at all times.
- Practice multidisciplinary team care and contribute actively towards its successful management.
- Work in accordance with the Clinic Plan to assist in meeting the Clinic Objectives.
- Act as patient advocate at all times.
