We are looking for a Theatre Scrub Practitioner to join a dynamic multi-disciplinary team on a full time, permanent basis. Whether you are an Operating Department Practitioner or a Theatre experienced nurse, this could be a life changing role for you. You will be based in a modern, purpose built hospital in the heart of Dorset and be supported by a team committed to delivering excellent standards of care.
Theatre Scrub Practitioner is currently registered with either the NMC or HPCP. Preference is for competence in Orthopaedic scrub; however applications from those competent in other scrub areas will be considered. You should have a good time keeping and attendance record, as well as excellent oral and written skills, the ability to direct and support non-qualified staff, and a strong commitment to providing the best possible care to all patients.
Location and terms: Bournemouth — Full Time / Permanent — £25,000 to £30,000 per year
Responsibilities:
- Provide theatre scrub support within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Deliver high standards of patient care and safety in the perioperative environment.
- Support and direct non-qualified staff as needed.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and patients, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with consultants and the wider theatre team to optimise patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Current registration with NMC or HPCP.
- Competence in Orthopaedic scrub preferred; other scrub areas considered.
- Excellent timekeeping, attendance, and communication skills (oral and written).
- Ability to lead and support junior staff and deliver compassionate patient care.
