Dream Medical is working in conjunction with our esteemed clients in providing Occupational Health Advisers to run Flu clinics throughout the winter season. The project runs from October to December each year. We would like to gather Nurses' availability and interests before the project commences later in the year.
The position will have a variety of shifts available ranging from part time to full time with the potential to run weekend clinics also.
Duties and responsibilities:- Assess by means of standardised health and lifestyle questionnaire systems and specific clinical measurements the medical fitness of new entrants.
- Exercise clinical judgement in relation to standards and other aspects of fitness to work.
- Policy implementation: design, produce and modify policies and procedures for customers.
- Advise clients appropriately within policy guidelines e.g. managing attendance, recruitment etc.
- Provide practical advice and assistance to customers on all aspects of Occupational Health, taking the needs of the customer and employee into account.
- Carry out clinical and risk assessments.
- Provide psychological and psychosocial interventions.
- Carry out specific health surveillance of those clients who require this as part of compliance with relevant health-related legislation as part of ongoing monitoring of employee health.
- Perform drug and alcohol screening.
- Offer business travel health advice and vaccination.
- Provide rehabilitation and disability management.
- Carry out sickness absence interventions and specific case management either face to face or over the phone.
- Work as part of a multi-functional team both internally and externally.
