Dream Medical is currently working with a Community Hospital in Gravesham that requires a locum Speech Therapist. The Hospital is looking for a locum Speech Therapist to work full time hours Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:30 to start ASAP on a fixed long term contract.
Responsibilities:
- Identifying children's developmental speech and communication difficulties/disorders;
- Assessing and treating swallowing and communication difficulties arising from a range of causes, e.g. congenital problems (such as cleft palate) or acquired disorders after a stroke or injury;
- Devise, implement and revise relevant treatment programmes;
- Advise carers on implementing treatment programmes and train other professionals in therapy delivery;
- Assess communication environments;
- Monitor and evaluate clients' progress;
- Work with clients on a one-to-one basis, and in groups, to deliver therapy.
