Dream Medical is currently working with the NHS Trust in recruiting a locum Pharmacy Technician for their Hospital in Chester. The ideal Pharmacy Technician will be able to commence ASAP working 3 days/22.5 hrs p/w Mon-Wed 08.30-16.30, although there is some flexibility with the days for a minimum of the next 3 months.

The Pharmacy Technician, based in a Hospital in Chester, will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking clinical technical duties in support of the ward-based mental health clinical pharmacy service in designated wards and community teams and community care physical health service, where appropriate.
  • Coordinating the process of medicines management to each unit.
  • Delivering medicine management education and training regarding medicine management policies, individualised patient dispensing, the reuse of patients' own medication, side effect monitoring, and self-medication to clinical and non-clinical staff, patients, and carers.

Requirements:

  • You will hold all documentation required by all clinicians under the NHS Employers standard checks.
  • Minimum of 6 months UK, NHS experience.
  • Professional and cooperative attitude towards patients, customers, and colleagues.
  • Member of an appropriate professional body and hold a valid GPhC registration.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
