Occupational Health Nurse – St Albans. Flexible locum opportunity with a primary care specialist company focusing on finding opportunities for qualified Nurses, AHPs, HCAs and GPs. Opportunity to provide nursing cover in the St Albans area for large organisations to administer the flu vaccination.
Locum role with ad-hoc sessions at various sites. The programme vaccinates nationwide in the UK and runs from the end of September to around mid-December. Vaccines are stockpiled (approximately 25,000) with around 400 clients nationwide.
Responsibilities- Administer influenza vaccines (aiming for 16 vaccines per hour).
- Work in flexible, minimum 3-hour clinic blocks and travel between sites as required (25p per mile when travel is necessary).
- Provide immunisation services on site with all vaccinations equipment, vaccines, sharps bins and documentation prepared in a temperature-controlled box on arrival.
- Collaborate with the on-site team and consultants to deliver vaccination services to clients.
- NMC registration and PIN.
- Occupational Health Nursing or Practice Nursing experience.
- Immunisations clinical update.
- Enhanced DBS issued within 1 year.
