About the Role

Dream Medical is collaborating with a Private Hospital in Oxford to recruit an exceptional part-time Lead Cardiology Nurse. The successful candidate will inspire others and uphold the highest standards of patient care.

Hospital Overview

The hospital is purpose-built with 64 beds, 8 theatres, an intensive care unit, and other state-of-the-art facilities. You will work alongside leading surgeons across various disciplines, including orthopaedics, cardiothoracic, and neurosurgery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example and serve as an ambassador for patient care standards.
  • Report to the Cardiac & Diagnostic Services Manager and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Manage the delivery of high-quality cardiology outpatient services.
  • Support interventional cardiology procedures, radiology interventions, and cardiac pre-assessment and post-operative care.
  • Act as a clinical expert in cardiology nursing, ensuring evidence-based practice and policy adherence.
  • Assist with scheduling, planning, and rotas.
  • Support training and clinical competence across departments.
  • Serve as deputy to the head of department and infection prevention link nurse.
  • Ensure efficient work practices and protocols.
