About the Role
Dream Medical is collaborating with a Private Hospital in Oxford to recruit an exceptional part-time Lead Cardiology Nurse. The successful candidate will inspire others and uphold the highest standards of patient care.
Hospital Overview
The hospital is purpose-built with 64 beds, 8 theatres, an intensive care unit, and other state-of-the-art facilities. You will work alongside leading surgeons across various disciplines, including orthopaedics, cardiothoracic, and neurosurgery.
Responsibilities
- Lead by example and serve as an ambassador for patient care standards.
- Report to the Cardiac & Diagnostic Services Manager and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
- Manage the delivery of high-quality cardiology outpatient services.
- Support interventional cardiology procedures, radiology interventions, and cardiac pre-assessment and post-operative care.
- Act as a clinical expert in cardiology nursing, ensuring evidence-based practice and policy adherence.
- Assist with scheduling, planning, and rotas.
- Support training and clinical competence across departments.
- Serve as deputy to the head of department and infection prevention link nurse.
- Ensure efficient work practices and protocols.
