Clinical Facilitator urgently required for MOD post in Aldershot. Dream Medical are working closely with the MOD barracks in Aldershot and we are urgently seeking an experienced Clinical Facilitator. This is a locum role offering full time hours and excellent hourly pay rates. This is an excellent opportunity and one that should not be missed. Please see further details on the role below.
The post holder will be an experienced nurse and will practice autonomously within their professional boundaries. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care to the population at risk. They will work collaboratively within the multi-disciplinary team to meet the needs of patients/clients and support the delivery of policy and procedures.
Key Areas of Responsibility:- All staff have a duty to co-operate with their line managers and to take reasonable care of their own Health & Safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions.
- The post-holder is responsible for ensuring, so far as reasonably practicable, the Health & Safety of the staff he/she manages and for providing staff with appropriate information, instruction, training and supervision for all activities to ensure their safety at work.
- To support the Personnel Recovery Units commanding Wounded, Injured and Sick (WIS) soldiers in the delivery of DPHC activities with appropriate reference to Occupational Health.
- To deliver a high standard of care, using clinical skills, and a broad and in-depth theoretical knowledge base.
- To manage own clinical caseload responding effectively to patient need. (Essential)
- Independent clinical assessment of patients in order to participate in Individual Recovery Plan events; with appropriate reference to Occupational Health (OH).
- Develop clinical care plans to support rehabilitation and early return to work of service personnel which utilise multidisciplinary teams and external agencies. Clinical case management of military personnel in line with current MOD policy.
- Advise the Chain of Command regarding sickness absence management and attend individual case conferences as required.
- Clinical audit in line with the DPHC ROHT clinical audit programme.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the multi-disciplinary team to promote health and wellbeing.
- Organise and plan own clinical workload.
- Develop and lead on safe and competent practice.
- Proactive facilitation of the clinical care pathways with respective medical agencies.
- Regular liaison with Personnel Recovery Officers in order to develop and continually shape the individual recovery programme of Service Personnel.
- Coordination of all medical aspects of and attendance at the PRU 28 day review.
