Practice Nurse – Stevenage. Are you a dynamic locum Practice Nurse looking for a new challenge? An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Practice Nurse to join our nursing team at a Medical Practice in Stevenage. The successful candidate will be skilled in the full range of practice nursing services with previous primary care experience. The client provides access to high quality healthcare and offers a range of health services, information, advice and treatment for illnesses and minor injuries. The role is for 24 hours a week over 3 days (ongoing); clinic times are flexible for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Work autonomously with excellent organisational, communication and clinical skills
- New Patient Screening
- NHS Health Checks
- Health promotion and advice
- Cytology / smears
- Diabetes management
- Asthma/COPD care
- CHD management
- Vaccinations and immunisations
- Wound care
- Basic IT skills
- Provide care in line with primary care standards and practice policies
Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 months post-registration and current experience as a practice nurse
- Registration with the NMC
- Eligibility to work within the UK
