Locum Pharmacy Technician – Chester – ASAP Start

Dream Medical is currently working with the NHS Trust in recruiting a locum Pharmacy Technician for their Hospital in Chester.

The ideal Pharmacy Technician will be able to commence ASAP working 3 days/22.5 hrs p/w Mon-Wed 08.30-16.30, although there is some flexibility with the days for a minimum next 3 months.

The Pharmacy Technician, based in a Hospital in Chester will be responsible for:

• To undertake clinical technical duties in support of the ward based mental health clinical pharmacy service in designated wards and community teams and community care physical health service, where appropriate.
• This will involve coordinating the process of medicines management to each unit and will involve delivering medicine management education and training regarding medicine management policies, individualised patient dispensing, the reuse of patients own medication, side effect monitoring and self medication to clinical and non clinical staff, patients and carers.

Requirements:

• You will hold all documentation required by all clinicians under the NHS Employers standard checks.
• Minimum of 6 months UK, NHS experience.
• Professional and cooperative attitude towards patients, customers and colleagues
• Member of an appropriate professional body and hold a valid GPhC registration
• Eligibility to work in the UK
