Overview
Band 6 MOD Practice Nurse – Bramcote, Coventry. Full time/locum. Dream Medical is working with the MOD to recruit a Band 6 Practice Nurse within Bramcote barracks. The role involves autonomous delivery of nurse-led clinics, liaising with outside agencies and disciplines, and providing clinical treatment, screening and advice within your NMC scope of practice and MOD/DMS guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Work autonomously in nurse-led clinics; communicate with outside agencies and disciplines.
- Provide clinical treatment, screening and advice within your competence and scope per NMC Codes and DMS guidelines.
- Contribute to development of care programmes and service delivery within your scope; perform audits and electronic searches to meet Population at Risk (PAR) demands.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate clinical care of patients autonomously within your competence.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (A) Level 1 with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and hold a valid PIN with no restriction of practice.
- At least 2 years Primary Healthcare Nursing experience; at least 1 year as a Band 6 Practice Nurse.
- Up-to-date certificates in: Immunisation and vaccination; Venepuncture; Audiology; Ear Care (including irrigation); Smoking cessation; Minor Injuries and Illnesses; Travel health.
