This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sister to take on a senior role within a private hospital setting. You should have oncology experience including the administration of chemotherapy and be proficient in phlebotomy, cannulation and central venous access devices. A cancer qualification is essential to this role. You will have experience of leading a team and will be able to support the Matron in the development and expansion of the oncology service and the support of junior staff. You will support the Matron and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver an exceptional standard of patient care.
Your key accountabilities include:
- Work scheduling/rotas
- Recruitment, induction, performance review, attendance management, disciplinary and grievance matters
- Competency assessment, training, development and mentoring of staff
- Ensure work is carried out efficiently and to agreed working practice and protocols
Requirements:
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification
- Cancer qualification
- Oncology experience
- Managerial experience
- NMC Registration & PIN
- BLS/ALS
