Dream Medical is currently working with a private client whose hospital is looking for an experienced Cardiac Physiologist to join a Cardiology Department in Sutton and work alongside the best consultants in the region within safe COVID pathways and excellent IPC support. The hospital provides cardiac surgeries for both inpatient and outpatient procedures. The successful candidate will work very closely with a team of cardiac physiologists and cardiac consultants in the outpatient department, contribute to the implementation of cardiac services, and apply patient technology for measurement, monitoring and treatment. You will promote excellent care, strive for quality improvement, and acknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand responsibility in its prevention and control.
The Hospital offers a £27m development investment, six operating theatres covering a wide range of specialties including Orthopaedics, Gynaecology and Cardio, plus an ITU department. There are developmental training courses and progression opportunities for ambitious employees.
Responsibilities- Work in a Cardiology Department predominantly in the outpatient setting, collaborating with cardiac physiologists and consultants.
- Provide and receive complex, sensitive, or contentious information as part of patient care.
- Contribute to the implementation of cardiac services and apply patient technology for measurement, monitoring and treatment.
- Promote high-quality care and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Understand and contribute to the prevention and control of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) as agreed with the line manager.
- Qualified Cardiac Physiologist
- Minimum of 3 years' experience
- BSE Accreditation or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year Echo experience
- Ability to lead and assist exercise stress testing
- Participation in on-call rota is essential
- 35 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays
