Dream Medical are working in conjunction with a surgery in Harlow looking for a dedicated GP to join one of our esteemed clients. The successful candidate will work in the practice clinical team delivering high-quality healthcare to registered and non-registered patients within a large practice. The practice operates within a health centre delivering extended and weekend hours and provides support to GPs, nurses and other clinicians within the practice.
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Provide surgery consultations, telephone consultations.
- Deal with queries, both over the telephone and in person.
- Make professional and autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems whether these are self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation.
- Assess the health care needs of patients who have undifferentiated or undiagnosed problems.
- Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
- Consult with patients in line with current practice disease management protocols to develop care plans for health.
- Provide counselling and health education.
- Admit or discharge patients to and from the caseload and refer them to other care providers as appropriate.
- Record consultation notes clearly and contemporaneously within agreed standards.
- Collect data for audit purposes.
- Compile and issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions, avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever possible.
- Prescribe in accordance with the Practice prescribing formulary, or generically, whenever this is clinically appropriate.
