Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

Who we are

HelpBnk is part of Dream Group and we're on a mission to make entrepreneurship accessible to everyone. Founded by entrepreneur and content creator Simon Squibb, our online platform helps aspiring founders take a clear first step towards building a business. We connect them with practical tools and mentorship, supported by a community of people willing to help.
Simon is known for his "What's Your Dream?" street interviews, where he talks to people about their ambitions and helps them take the next step. As part of Dream Group, the wider mission is to help 10 million people start a business. Dream Media creates the content through which many people discover this work.
On HelpBnk, members can ask for help and share what they know. Spaces are focused communities within the platform, organised around a business interest or a particular group of founders. They give members somewhere relevant to connect and learn from each other.

Why we are hiring

We are looking for an ambitious, independent and organised salesperson who can open doors, close deals and coordinate partnerships. You will win media campaigns and Simon Squibb sponsorships, alongside longer-term sponsorships of communities on HelpBnk.
These offers serve different purposes. Media partnerships help brands reach people through content. Space sponsorships let brands support and build relationships with a relevant community over time. You will explain the value of each and recommend the right fit for the buyer.
The balance between sales and delivery changes month to month. When fewer campaigns are live, you will focus on building pipeline. When delivery is busy, it takes priority. You will need to manage your own time across both.

Your role

Working with the Chief Operating Officer, you will own opportunities from first conversation through to signed agreement and renewal. You will build new business alongside managing inbound enquiries, with responsibility for keeping your pipeline moving.
Your job is to turn belief in the mission into partnerships that fund it, with clear value for the brands backing us.
This role covers the full partnership lifecycle. Once a Simon Squibb Media deal is signed, you will make sure it is delivered successfully. That means onboarding the partner, briefing Simon, coordinating delivery with the filming and editing team, planning when content goes live, and tracking performance; reporting results to partners and leadership.
Brands renew when a campaign runs smoothly, and you will own that experience from start to finish.

What you will sell and own

Simon Squibb Media and sponsorships

Sell paid content campaigns and brand integrations across Simon's channels. Develop longer-term sponsorships where the fit is strong. Agree the brief and availability with the media team. Price content rights correctly and coordinate each campaign after signature.

HelpBnk Spaces sponsorships

Match relevant brands with focused communities on HelpBnk. Build sustained sponsorship agreements, including 12-month partnerships where appropriate. Agree the sponsor's role and how results will be measured with the community team.

Your responsibilities

  • Build your own pipeline. Find the right brands and agencies through direct outreach or in-person events. Use your network and create new connections. Handle inbound enquiries too, checking fit and budget before developing a proposal.
  • Lead the pitch. Run discovery calls and establish the partner's objectives. Write tailored proposals using approved pricing and current audience evidence. Present the offer and handle objections.
  • Negotiate and close. Agree scope and commercial terms within your authority. Coordinate contract review and keep follow-ups moving until the agreement is signed. Protect the value of usage rights and exclusivity.
  • Maintain a reliable pipeline. Keep HubSpot, our customer relationship management system, up to date. Record the next action and expected close date. Give the Chief Operating Officer a clear weekly forecast and flag decisions needed.
  • Make delivery straightforward. Hand over a complete brief and the agreed commitments. Confirm production or community capacity before promising dates. Work with finance on invoicing and payment follow-up.
  • Onboard new partners. Run a kick-off with each new Simon Squibb Media partner. Confirm briefing, deliverables, timelines and the approval process.
  • Brief the team. Brief Simon and the filming team before filming, key messages and any relevant context. Give the editing team clear context for each ad, including brand guidelines and feedback from the partner. Make sure all paid content meets UK advertising disclosure rules.
  • Manage delivery. Track every deliverable, deadline and approval so nothing is missed. Manage feedback and amends between the partner and the editing team. Plan the posting schedule with the posting team.
  • Measure and report. Collect post analytics after content goes live. Report results to partners against their agreed objectives. Spot what is working and what isn't, and recommend improvements for future campaigns.
  • Support leadership with data. Give the Chief Operating Officer clear reporting on partnership performance alongside the sales pipeline, so decisions are based on real results.
  • Improve how partnerships run. Keep our partnership processes, templates and checklists up to date, from kick-off to reporting. Suggest better ways of working as you learn what partners need.
  • Grow the relationship. Review results with the delivery team and partner. Lead renewals and identify sensible extensions. Help source relevant creators or experts who could contribute to a sponsored Space.
The Chief Operating Officer sets commercial priorities and supports major negotiations. You own day-to-day deal progress. For Spaces, the community team owns delivery; legal and finance support their respective parts of each agreement. For Simon Squibb Media agreements, you will coordinate the partnerships through to completion.

What we are looking for

  • A record of personally closing brand partnerships or sponsorship deals. You can explain your contribution and the revenue you brought in.
  • Experience selling creator media or sponsorships. You understand what brands and agencies need from a partnership.
  • Experience delivering partnerships, not just selling them. You have managed brand campaigns after signature, ideally with creators or influencer content. You know what a good brief looks like and how to keep a campaign on schedule.
  • Ambition and independence. You create opportunities and build rapport with senior buyers, online or in person. You keep going when a deal takes time.
  • Strong commercial judgment. You can defend pricing and negotiate content rights. You know when an opportunity is a poor fit.
  • Strong organisation. You can manage many deliverables, deadlines and approvals at once, with strong attention to detail. You can switch focus between sales and delivery as priorities change.
  • Comfortable with data. You can pull performance numbers, understand what they mean, and explain them clearly to partners and leadership.
  • Resourcefulness and follow-through. You try new approaches and take responsibility for the result. Your proposals are clear and your pipeline stays current.
  • A belief in making entrepreneurship accessible. Existing brand or agency relationships would be useful, as would a relevant creator network.
  • Coachable and open to feedback. You act on what you learn to improve your approach.
  • Knowledge of UK influencer advertising rules (ASA and CAP guidance) would be useful.

What success looks like

You will be measured on signed revenue against agreed targets, with payment collection tracked alongside it. We will also review pipeline quality and partner renewals. You should own day-to-day progress without waiting to be chased.
We will also measure delivery quality: campaigns going live on time and as agreed, partner satisfaction, and accurate and timely performance reports.
Keep forecasts realistic and agreements deliverable. Use verified audience evidence and protect the trust Simon and HelpBnk have built. Bring the Chief Operating Officer into major negotiations and commitments outside your authority.

Your first 90 days

First month: Learn both offers and agree priorities with the Chief Operating Officer. Take ownership of selected opportunities and build a target account plan. Learn our partnership delivery process through a full handover, and take over coordination of live Simon Squibb Media campaigns with hands-on support from the team.
By day 90: Lead pitches and progress priority deals towards signature, backed by an active pipeline. Agree revenue milestones around the starting pipeline and expected sales cycle. Run kick-off, briefing, scheduling and reporting for all active partnerships independently, with support available when needed.

Why join us

Work directly with the Chief Operating Officer and the teams behind the content and communities you sell. You will have room to shape the offer and see how the partnerships you win help people start businesses. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants ownership and is willing to put in the work.
